Garrett Clawson

Founder and Lead Strategist

Garrett Clawson is a solutions-driven nonprofit strategist with a passion for helping mission-driven organizations build organizational operating systems that enhance efficiency, streamline workflows, and maximize impact. With over five years of experience in nonprofit management, strategic planning, and systems design, he has helped organizations launch new programs, redesign databases, and secure over $4 million in grants and government contracts.

As the Founder and Principal Consultant of Benevolent Strategies, Garrett specializes in mapping out complex workflows and designing tailored operational systems that empower organizations to operate with clarity and consistency. By integrating technology, automation, and strategic planning, he helps nonprofits create scalable, sustainable systems that improve decision-making, optimize resource allocation, and strengthen overall organizational effectiveness.

Garrett is PMP®-certified and holds a Master of Public Affairs with a specialization in Nonprofit Management from The University of Texas at Austin. Outside of his consulting work, Garrett is an active member of The Austin Stone Community Church. In his free time, you can find him exploring new technology tools, enjoying a walk with his wife (Kelly) and son (Luke), or reading C.S. Lewis in a quiet coffee shop.
